Modernization
Giving Your Elevator a New Lease on Life
Over time, elevator components wear out. When repairs start piling up or your system is no longer performing the way it should, a modernization may be the right move. Lardner Elevator will assess what you have and put together a plan that gets your elevator back up to date.
What Is Modernization?
Modernization means updating the key components of your existing elevator rather than replacing it entirely. Common updates include the controller, door equipment, elevator machine, safety systems, and cab fixtures like buttons, panels, and lighting. Depending on the scope, it can be done all at once or phased out over time starting with the most urgent components first.
When Would You Need It?
You may be looking at a modernization if your elevator has been in service for 20 or more years, you are seeing more frequent breakdowns, parts are becoming harder to find, or your system is no longer meeting current safety code requirements.
Is Modernization Right For You?
If your elevator is aging or no longer performing the way it should, modernization may be the right next step. Reach out to Lardner Elevator and we will evaluate your system and help you determine what needs attention now and what can be planned for down the road.
